HELP OUR TOURNAMENT PLAYERS UNLOCK THE
CREATIVITY OF THEIR FRIENDS AT MARY CARIOLA CHILDREN’S CENTER
Where will the proceeds go? Last year’s Sunshine Classic proceeds went toward art supplies and the “Swishes and Swirls” event where our players helped 36 students at Mary Cariola paint giant canvas with assorted paints and basketballs.- students who are non-verbal, limited use of hands and feet, mobility provided by wheelchairs.
This year our players will take it to the next level helping the Mary Cariola students’ unlock their inner creativity with all proceeds supporting the development of a eye-tracking system. One that will provide the students a level of independence, creating art and music with a simple movement of their eyes.
For the development of the eye tracking system, KMMC has partnered with RIT and Eyegaze (www:eyegaze.com), an organization who has developed an eye tracking system dedicated to helping those with physical and developmental challenges unlock their abilities within.
